About Great Britain

• It is called Great Britain because it is the biggest island among all European island and British isles
• I visited several cities in GB namely London, Norwich, Bath and Windsor.
• Everything is expensive here. 100 USD is equivalent to 60 GBP only.
• And nothing is free except daily newspaper perhaps. If you want to use internet in the hotel usually they charge us 10 GBP for 24 hours usage.
• Nevertheless, the scenery of the cities is inevitably beautiful. Their houses, museums, landmarks, national heritages are all highly maintaid. I admire their effort to preserve all of this.
• The people are stiff like a stick :) very much different with Indonesian who are warm and friendly even to strangers
• The weather is unpredictable. Sometimes it rains and in the next hour the sun shines so bright. But I love the coolness, around 18 degree Celcius
• Stores and shops close at 9 PM or even earlier. They have shorter opening hours on Sunday.
• You can always see a park. I hope Jakarta can be like this someday.
• The food is spiceless. I missed nasi padang so much :)
